    The 2 caps in parallel should be fine to use. When you parallel the caps, the capacitance adds up but an added benefit is that the ESR (equivalent series resistance) decreases to allow for higher currents to be supported by the cluster of caps. In your travels, when you order parts, consider to source more of the 22uf caps to service the machine but as noted, you will not miss out by using the 2 x 10uf caps in parallel.

        For decoupling caps on a power supply rail, it usually doesn't matter, it's within 20% tolerance anyways (20uF vs 22uF)

            Correct. Tolerance and other factors impact the true capacitance.
