Lenovo G565 Laptop , LCD not turn on, external terminak ok.

Lenovo G565 Laptop onboard LCD Display does not turn on.
    Only works with external Monitor.
I am trying to verify that the LCD signals from the motherboard are ok.
The LCD was working, but over time happened to not turn on more frequently.
    Now dead.
Possibly the cable from MB to LCD is broken somewhere.

I just wonder how it is detected if external or internal monitor shall be activated ?

I found the following schematic on the net:

    Problem 2:
The graphics chip ATI Mobility Radeon HD5470 seems defective.
On Win7 boot it hangs on load driver atipcie64.sys and nothing happens.
In Win save mode it boots but terrible resolution plus vertical dotted lines appear.

    Any ideas ?

I agree . Its a hobby, i'm not getting paid for this.

        my lenovo g565 laptop faults:

booting linux, llvmpipe is used for graphics, that means my system doesn't use the GPU but the CPU instead to render the computer graphics.
Only the external VGA display port is detected, not LCD !
        It works fine

        internal LCD not work:
        - it comes up sometimes, then also win7 starts normal and 2 screens can be used together.
Else only the external VGA works.
        - so it hints that the GPU ATI-M93-s3 and/or the ATI RS880M is defective.
        - the LCD uses the LVDS display output port from above chips.
        - the external VGA connector is driven by the CRT output port of above chips and it always works.

In conclusion: some sporadic fault in the GPU (ATI M93-S3 = HD540v) or Integrated Graphics Processor (ATI RS880M)
...OR its just some badcaps somewhere (havent checked the voltages)

cannot be repaired. (unless you change chips or motherboard)

        Solution:
        - run Linux .it uses the CPU a graphic processor.
( as it detects the faulty GPU and switches to the software renderer,
        not available in Windows)
        - internal LCD not available.

        i observed:
        - when battery dys, when on, and you plugin the PS and start, LCD comes back ? ! sometimes
