    : Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 GE4B0 does not power on ?

    hi,

unit is a : Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 GE4B0 motherboard with the infamous QB6 mosfet de soldering off the board, however the usb c port was replaced by another shop not know the common issue. I replaced the qb6 with a AON7466 however the UB7 started to get really hot and unit would not turn on. I then replaced the UB7 and QB5. I now get 0V on VINT20_IN_F and VINT20_IN on both sides of F6106, however when I inject 12v on either side the unit boots up. Can this be an issue with the USB-C port not soldered properly? I so get 20V 0.039A on the usb-c meter.
    TBTA_GATE_VSYS
    =9V
    1 TBTA_GATE_VBUS
    =28.7V
    1 N107911352
    =0V
    1 TBTA_VBUS20_F
    =20.3V
    2 TBTA_VBUS20
    =20.3V

QB5 PIN 1-2-3 i am only getting 0.3v however this is a new mosfet.

any help would be great !

the unit is now working. The issue was J6 didn't have solder on the pads .

Yes, of course. USB-C ports are likely not to get soldered properly. And they are suspicious for mechanical overstressing with the cable. So you can try the USB-C charger with plugging the cable in both directions. Maybe also, the USB-C socket is not 100% correct connected. But I have also seen cables which have not been 100% loaded with all pins connecting.
