I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch [B]A2238 M2[/B] and it was stuck 5V with 0 amps. I measured some important lines and I found a short on [B]PP3V8_AON_MPMU_ISNS_VIN[/B], I tried injecting 1v and I saw heat coming from the [B]mPMU[/B] so I removed the pmu thinking that was the problem. I don't know why I didn't check the other side of the border but there it was, a shorted cap. I replaced the cap and the short was gone, so I reballed the PMU and put it on again but voltage was still stuck at 5V and the current was fluctuating between 0 and 0.45 amps. unit is a : Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 GE4B0 motherboard with the infamous QB6 mosfet de soldering off the board, however the usb c port was replaced by another shop not know the common issue. I replaced the qb6 with a AON7466 however the UB7 started to get really hot and unit would not turn on. I then replaced the UB7 and QB5. I now get 0V on VINT20_IN_F and VINT20_IN on both sides of F6106, however when I inject 12v on either side the unit boots up. Can this be an issue with the USB-C port not soldered properly? I so get 20V 0.039A on the usb-c meter. [TABLE]

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on. The indicator flashes red 3 times.
I do not hear any sound and I cannot see any backlight.
I have tried disconnecting every cable on each board one at a time to see if anything changes.
The only change is when I disconnect AC-DET cable on the Power Supply board or on the other end if I unplug the CN7009 connection on the B-Board and try to power on the TV the indicator will stay on solid green until I power off.
My friend ordered another used power supply board but it is also doing the red indicator flash 3 times...

I rebooted my computer and suddenly it didn't detect. It was nvlinked to another card that works. Lights don't light up. I checked around with DMM from youtube videos but didn't find a really good diagram except the one from 3090 FE. Going by that it looks like this is PEX? In that case the last option is to lift the coil and see which side is shorted or GPU is gone?

I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.

My xbox one s died recently and currently it shows no signs of life. I took it apart and did some troubleshooting using board view to do some voltage checks in areas of interest. It doesn't appear to be a dead short since I get 12v on the caps near the cpu and other voltages like 3.3v, 5v, 1.1v as shown on the board file. I didn't check every point as that would take forever. When I look at it from my thermal camera, the Southbridge chip has a little glow on it when plugged into power.

The power switch on the detachable face board seems to be fine when using the multimeter to check....

I am working on a Bolt-L UMA MB 17938-1 board for a Dell Latitude 3500 and it is not charging. Plugging in the barrel jack and USB-C both results in about a .1a draw at 20v. I probed around and checked every capacitor I could find, as well as the inductors, and I got no shorts, so I checked to see if anything was happening under the thermal camera when plugged in and I see a slight bit of heat being generated by the Intersil 9538H IC, which appears to connect the battery to the charging line, but I may be wrong about that, I am not very strong on reading schematics, I mostly...

I have this mini pc that doesn't want to start.
When I plug in the charger it goes into protection mode.

I check the input pins in resistance mode and they are not shorted.
But in diode mode its 0.174V

When I opened it up I saw something new, no input mosfet, just big diodes next to the charging port. I checked on the coils for shorts but didn't find anything suspicious. Only the CPU coils have low resistance but that should be normal because it's an 11th gen I7.

i have a 2338 which had no display (there is a little crack near the edge to the case) but worked with external display. Some weeks later it didn`t boot anymore.
USB Tester shows 5,18v, 0,08 a and 0,38w with power supply.
With battery connected i get 20v and 0,0 a
Thermal camera shows that U0500 is heating up to 30c.

F5200 is not shorted
Visual inspection didn't show any problems.

I'm sure that i need to change the display but what can i do to find my other problem with the board?...

Hello, I have an Alienware m15 R5 Ryzen, P109f002, with motherboard GDL56 LA-K453P Rev:1.0, Ryzen 9 5900HX, RTX 3070. I got it due to it having liquid damage. I am quite new to chip-level repair, and this is my second post, so please be kind with my incompetence. The charging IC is an ISL95522ah in HPB mode as far as I'm aware. I've been using a schematic for a LA-K455PR10_0525A that is available in the forum, and it seems to match for the most part. If it's okay I can link the schematic, or insert the pertinent page into my post.
