New Laptop does not have CMOS, instead a chip

    Hello everyone,

I'm having an issue with the BIOS. I had previously set an admin password, and recently, I set the password to blank to remove it. It worked fine as expected, though sometimes there's a prompt and sometimes there isn't. Little did I know, I wouldn't be able to update my BIOS from MyASUS Center after a BIOS update last October. I've also noticed that I'm unable to access the BIOS configuration and cannot use a USB drive while in BIOS/boot mode.

    Here's my laptop model: ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (2023) - FA507NU.

I've done a lot of research but haven't had any luck. I have a programmer at home for the chip but no safe BIOS image to use. I also visited the service center, and they mentioned that they might charge me a significant amount, potentially half the cost of the motherboard, if the laptop doesn't work.

Has anyone experienced the same issue with the BIOS password or BIOS corruption?

one thing i know about those,
because of fucking windows10/11 you have to disable the harddrive encryption and then go into the bios and disable secure-boot or it wont flash.
it'sa safety thing incase it overwrites the keys while flashing.
