hp pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dy104np not powering up

Hi all need some help with this hp pavilion x360 convertible, board SLINKY 1.0 UMA, wont power up, no white led, nothing. I'm geting 19V up to the current sense resistor, but nothing from that point onwards. Doesn't seem to be shorted anywere, measured resistance in all inductors and they all seem good.
    Charger IC is ISL9538C
Found no Schematics or Board View for this model
    Any help would be appreciated

I know this IC. Can you measure the main power rail at any big capacitor?

      Hello,

CARREFULY Check the voltage on the battery sense resistor WITHOUT battery, but WITH adapter connected.
You may find battery voltage approx…

If you find around 0V, CARREFULY check pins of ic with adapter and report it here.

        I'm getting around 20mv

Main power Rail has 19.5V up to the current sense resistor shown in photo

Yes don't worry that's normal you have à buck boost converter, so you will have only pulses at the gate and drain or the first mofset.
You will not find the right voltage without an oscilloscope.

But the circuit doesn't seem to work, because you have almost 0V at the end.

You can try first check the four mofset around the coil: Check résistance : (without adapter & battery)
              GÂTE TO SOURCE
              SOURCE TO GATE
              GATE TO DRAIN
              DRAIN TO GATE
              SOURCE TO DRAIN
              DRAIN TO SOURCE
You have to find value > kOhm… or OL

If everything si right you have to check the charging IC first check pins (CARREFULY, with charger, don't short two pins with your électrodes!):
              PIN 16 (ADP)
              PIN 17 (DC IN)
              PIN 18 (VDDP)
              PIN 24 (ACOK)
              And report your values please.

Hi, I´ve the same issue with this board. 19V, no shorts.

                On Charging IC I have:
                PIN 16 (ADP) = 20V
                PIN 17 (DC IN) = 5.12V
                PIN 18 (VDDP) = 5.14V
                PIN 24 (ACOK) = 0.5 mV

DC-IN should be close to 19V. You can refer to LA-F411 schematic for charging IC.

                    Hello,

Please find a pretty similar schematic/boardview, just uploaded:

                    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-slinky-203032

And yes you have a problem on IC powering.

You may check diodes on DC-IN line.
                    • check voltage before and after diodes
                    • check diodes in diode mode both side with multimeter without power
                    • Check for short before and after diodes
