acer aspire camera pinout?

i have a cam from an aspire-one,

anybody got the pinout or an aspire-one schematic?

Don't think you're gonna find it but it's trivial to trace as it's going to be an USB connection. Post a photo of the board and i'll try to help.

5 pin ?
With cam facing you and plugin on left:
I have a few other acers aspires (not the one) that have v-in on the top pin
and both lower pins as grounds on some and some just have the second from the bottom as ground (5pin cam with 4 lead wire)
can't remember if the were 3.3 or 5volts

but i dont know if it's 5v or 3v3

i have an asus wifi module with the same questionmark hanging over it.

it's a chicken/egg problem.
if the laptop worked i could meter the voltage.
but then i wouldnt be stripping it!

It's USB. It's always going to be 5 volts. Don't think i've stumbled over 3.3v webcams yet.

I have seen 3.3s in hps
try 3.3 using a VR first
If nada
go for full 5
Don't use too long of wires to usb

i'll throw a 1117 on some stripboard later.

i just got another cam now from an asus eee too.
need to work that one out.

that's what I used when I tried one here
I just ran my wires direct to the VR for testing purposes
