    ThinkPad T14 G1 disabling onboard ram

    Hello guys,
    I just got a ThinkPad T14 G1 with a faulty onboard ram. Have you got any idea on how to disable it permanently?
    Motherboard number is NM-C801, I've got the boardview+schematics (attached below), but I don't know which resistors should I move/remove, since there are no "reserved" states for the onboard ram on this motherboard.

    Got the issue SOLVED thanks to a recommendation by SMDFlea!
    You have to look at the schematics (page 7) and find a set of rezistors that occupy your model of soldered ram and desolder them.
    In my case it was this set of resistors: RC1610, RC1611, RC1614, RC1616.

      I tried your method, but unfortunately it didn't help me. It's interesting that I had 8 GB of memory, and the straps were set as for 16 GB. I set all the straps to 1, removed the 4 that were there, and set them to 1. After that, the system only worked with the slot (I removed the chips from the board). It's also interesting that there is no such combination in the diagram.

        Yeah, same thing happened to me. It was working fine, but after few reboots it started to recognize the onboard ram (now as 16GB) and it's crashing again. So you've managed to fix it by desoldering all of the resistors that are linked to the onboard RAM and the RAM chips itself?

          Simply removing the resistor leaves the signal undefined (if not the internal resistor). I think that's why you have a floating situation. I did:
