Measure the sizes with a micrometer.

Google works to find the attached datasheet.

The vendor shipped the wrong part. Very confused about the shipped part size which may be a fake. There is a 1 star review on this same part on their website noting the same issue. Perhaps your review? Reach out to the vendor for a refund.

Suggest to source the proper and same part number from LCSC. We use them often for parts sourcing and also met them at an electronics fair in Shenzhen. Never had any issues with the quality of their parts.

Yes same happened with me, the review is not mine and I have already requested for a refund but I need to be sure that the part is exactly same, I mean these two ics have same markings

From the public documents, if the component has the B3*** SMD code, the part body size must be 2.5*2.5mm; QFN-16. To me, anything else is a fake. The larger packaged version of this part is with a different SMD code. Source it from LCSC. If the vendor truly believes the parts are the same, request a datasheet to support the claim.

Asus ROG Strix G17 , Identifying a part number from the boardview diagram ID
                                  by SilverbackITGuy
First of all, I hope I got this into the right section. Apologies if I did not.

I was working on my Asus ROG Strix G17 (2021) G713QM-RS96, and I guess I pre-heated the board too much replacing the DC Jack and one of the small parts came off. I looked for it on my soldering mat, and it was nowhere to be found. So now, the laptop is powered from the new DC Jack I installed, but it will not charge the battery from that jack. Only powers the hardware.

I looked at the boardview diagram in another post for the G713QM, and it looks like the diagram displays it as X450, a 4 contact...

                                  Smd code to part number
                                  by esinior
Hi i have a smd part with probably mark "QO 11" or "Q0(zero) 11" on it, and its package is SOT89, i doubt its KTB1260 PNP transistor, but in measuring with diode mode of multimeter it shows number 1.4 between emitter and collector pins and its not open circuit, and .59 from collector to base and .8 from emitter to base , and these numbers doesn't match a pnp transistor, i couldn't find any part number and datasheet for it, does anybody have information for that part number?
I've attached pics of this part
                                  Thanks...

Panasonic part number in service manuals
                                  by Yanleb
In the Panasonic service manuals, both in the board schematics and in the part listing, the part numbers that are given are Panasonic part numbers instead of the actual part numbers.

This is especially annoying for small SMD components like diodes and transistors when you only have 1-3 digits printed on the component body.

For an example, look at the attached PDF.

Do you have a way to cross reference the Panasonic part number with the actual part number?

                                  Thanks....
