Hi, I have an iPad Air 5 here, this thing only charging on a macbook or laptop. It does not charge on any wall charger or other things. Tried different cables with no result. When plug in into laptop sometimes it does not start charging and I have to turn the plug and the it is starting. The USB port looks ok with usb-c tester, battery also ok. I have no idea where to start searching. Any suggestions? Thanks

The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.
Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.
This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.
If I let battery run out and say it has 3% Windows will... -

I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). Hi all..
long story short when i disassemble a laptop (asus gl504gs) for cleaning. I found some component deliberatelly removed from the board by unknown technician.
turns out this component is a diode BAT54CW
For a power protection circuit
i installed this component and now laptop not charging anymore
its detect the ac adapter but not charging the battery
i removed the component again and know it start charging normaly
i just curious why this happen, i mean it should be there from factory but why when i installed it and it make the laptop not charging?...10-12-2024, 07:24 PM
