Hp Compaq CQ61 fast runs off

    Hi!

I already read some topic about CQ61 problems, but did not find any solution to my problem.

    CQ61-315SH

Symptom: LED lights under DC, Battery charging = 2sec after turning on laptop turns off

I tested with another Intel CPU, same.

BIOS voltages looks OK for me, but can it be corrupted?

    leg1: 0.16V
    2. 1.65V
    3. 3.37V
    4. 0.0V
    5. 0.22V
    6. 1.54V
    7. 3.36V
    8. 3.37V

    Any ideas?

    Thanks you

BIOS voltage is not normal. Do/try the following:

        1. Do as helderfb said (Reprogram bios)
        2. Measure RSMRST# for 3.3v (if it is 3.3v during prior or after power button press)
        a. if the voltage is 3.3v there is possible problem with your secondary voltage regulator
        b. if no voltage is present reflow/replace SIO.
        3. Measure the resistance of the coil with respect to ground. Check the circuit where you measured less than 10 ohms.
        4. Report back your results.
