    ACDET is too low.

Is the power adapter the original and of the proper power rating? Be sure the watts marking on the adapter is correct for this laptop.

What is the voltage to ground when you power this laptop with the adapter? If there is a voltage drop on the main adapter, this will result in a lower ACDET voltage and then the charger will not charge the battery.

What is the history of this unit? Just decided one day to not power up with the adapter?

See attached. Confirm if this boardview matches your logic board. Unable to locate a schematic but it may not be required.

Carefully (!!!) measure the voltage to ground on the HIGH side resistor. We are wanting to confirm that the adapter voltage enters this resistor; at the common ACDET point is the divided voltage created by the high and low side resistors to scale to a safe value for ACDET. Given that ACDET is too low implies that the adapter voltage is lower and/or the voltage divider resistors may be faulty. It should be possible to adjust the resistors to yield an ACDET of 2v4 or slightly higher but not too high. Only then will the charger IC create the boosted gate voltage for ACDRV to enable the DCin mosfets in the power path and then your battery will charge once again.
