Lenovo V310-15ISK - It doesn't work after changing the battery

Good guys. I changed the battery to a Lenovo V310-15ISK.

The laptop worked perfectly, I changed the L15C4A02 battery because it didn't last very long.
When I connected the new battery, the charging LED stopped lighting up and the one next to the charging pin also did not react when I pressed the power button. Minutes before changing the battery it worked perfectly and stopped working after putting the new one in. Even if you put the oroginal battery in or connect it without the battery, no LED lights up when you press the power button nor does it give an image, nor does the fan turn.

Comparing the new battery with the original one I found this difference:

    Original battery 15C4A02
    Replacement battery: 15C3A01

The seller told me that they are compatible for the V310-15ISK model, but now I am not sure

Is it possible that this difference has caused it to stop working?

It occurs to me that the BIOS may have been deprogrammed due to some incompatibility. I would like to know your opinions, advice or suggestions to solve the problem. Thank you so much

      Thanks for commenting
On both sides of the fuse there is 14.6V

As I mentioned above, it also does not work with the 20V charger, with battery and without battery.

Caefully measure the voltage to ground on each pin of the battery connector. Specifically, pins 3 and 4 voltages are of interest.

        Next, locate charger IC PU2 = BQ24780SRUYR

Carefully, measure the voltage to ground of the following pins:

        Pin 28; VCC
        Pin 4 ; ACDRV
        Pin 6 ; ACDET
        Pin 24 ; REGN
        Pin 2 ; ACP
        Pin 1 ; ACN

Thanks. ok I'll make those measurements and comment, I deleted the previous comment because I had made a mistake

I failed to add that there are 1.8V and 3.3V in EC, 1.8V PCH. That's why I think he could have deprogrammed the BIOS since the vital stresses are present and everything happened by installing a generic replacement upgrade. I don't think there is a problem with the charger itself.

Charger pins all look to be ok. Perhaps this laptop requires a known good battery to boot. The power adapter is the original and with the recommended power rating?

Test with another known good battery. Perhaps source from Amazon and then you can return it if it is not required. Test with a known good bios.

Thanks for the help. I have discovered the problem. Pin 5 (TEMP_MBAT1) of the battery connector has 10 ohm resistance to ground (with battery disconnected). That goes to pin 70 of the EC, and that's where what is practically a short comes from. There should be 3V coming from PR16 connected to +3VPCU.
Conclusion: for some reason, when connecting the new battery, leg 70 of the EC IT8886HE was shorted.

The question is, has it happened to anyone? I suspect the battery since it was the cheapest, a "probatery" brand, that is, it was not original but generic.

Thanks for the intention to respond. As I have told you repeatedly, without a battery it does not turn on, something happened that damaged the motherboard. There is absolutely no point in trying another battery. Any laptop should start without a battery, it is not essential for its operation. Thanks anyway for the good will.

Obviously I already did it, I have 20 years of experience. Basically my question is about the experience with generic batteries and if anyone has had a similar problem with these laptop models. By injecting 1V with current limited to 1 ampere, it heats the EC. It was clearly damaged when connecting the new battery.

Sorry, I did it because the comment thread distorted the real problem. Anyway it seems like it's a pretty strange problem that probably no one can help me with on this site. I will change the EC, I just need to get a suitable programmer for that EC since the one I have is the TL-866 PLUS and none of the ITE family is in the library. Thanks for the collaboration attempts

I think I haven't explained myself well, I use a translator. I need a programmer, that is, a device that records the internal memory of the EC. For example: SVOD-3, vertyanov..

Fully understood. They are not inexpensive. You can ping the developers of those tools. We recently purchased T56 programmer but had the (insurance) budget to replace an older BP Microsystems programmer that was killed by a drunk who ran through our building. The target EC is on the programmable list of controllers on this forum. ITE, I am sure has this variation on some witness protection program.

Lower cost option is to purchase a pre-programmed ITE controller. So far, we love the T56 programmer - blazing fast!!! Will check if this EC is supported by T56.

Hmmm. See attached. I believe the T56 can program these.

You will need the T56 and this adapter (ITE chip needs to be soldered - yuch. Ghetto but cheap. Should be a zif socket).

The linked adapter does not appear to be available at that site. Contact the mfr to confirm. They may have a zif version by now. Also, from where will you get the EC dump? There is one on this website which may work for you.

Hello guys, i need help with this problem, I have a NM-D041 mobo, it came with low impedance in 3v linear regulator rail, the cause was a damaged EC controller ITE8227e-192. I ordered a new one and replaced it. This laptop have a different chip for keyboard management and it8227e pins for programming ITE chips are not accesible through keyboard interface, I flashed it using i2c interface pins with vertyanov programmer because laptop was dead and SPI flash didn't have power (only 3v EC) so it couldn't access firmware stored in SPI memory. I read SPI and extracted it8227 firmware from original BIOS...

My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Lenovo P43s won't boot with internal battery connected – looking for help diagnosing battery issue

                                          Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad P43s. The laptop does not power on when the internal battery is connected, but it works fine on AC power alone (battery disconnected). Once the battery is reconnected, the system becomes completely unresponsive — no lights, no fan spin, nothing.

Here's what I've tried so far:
                                          • Power/EC reset (held power button for 60 seconds with battery and AC disconnected)
                                          • Booted successfully on AC power only with the battery disconnected
                                          • Visual inspection of the battery — no swelling, burn marks, or connector damage
                                          • Battery
                                          ...

Hello, I have a customer that brought this laptop in after replacing his battery. He said his original battery charge was not lasting long, and after replacing the battery with one purchased from iFixit, the charging worked for about 30 minutes and then stopped, and the battery is no longer detected by windows.

This laptop powers on when the AC adapter is connected, and my USB-C multimeter shows current being used with both ports, but the charging light does not come on, and in Windows the battery icon shows an X as if there is no battery present. If I disconnect the AC adapter,...

                                          Hello. Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05H, NM-D281 Rev: 1.0 board
Initially dead. Inspection: the board was not touched, on EC IT8227E-192 2101-CXA there is a mini-burnout.
Replaced with the same one, flashed the EC with the official firmware (had to solder to the pins), left the main firmware (Gigadevice 25LB128DSIG) original.
When connecting the charger, the device started, gave picture and works, checked all the functions - ok.
Connected the original battery. Only on the battery the device starts for a second, lights up the keyboard backlight and turns off.
                                          When connecting...
