Hi guys, this my first post but i want to be brief about it, i recently got a MBP L2013, the problem was that after some use the macbook shutted down randomly, at first i suspected to be the battery, and after connecting it with the charger i noticed that i didn´t shut, but after an hour or so it shutdown, after that i started searching a solution to my problem, but my brother tried to help me to find the problem and it that process to replicate the problem he reproduced a 4k video in multiple tabs and not much time after the macbook shutdown to never power again, what i noticed was that the fans were spinning when i hit the power button but it didn't output anything, not even the chime, but since my dad has a years of experience he helped me searching the problem, but after reading that the culprit could be the U8900 (Mistake of mine) we made a basic re soldering on the pins, and it didn't work obviously, so searching in here i found that it could be the FMDF7608N, so i'm reaching for some help to diagnose the problem better. Sorry for my grammar, this is not my native lenguage

by ktmmotocrossHello.
Have this A1398 emc 2876 that randomly goes to black screen and raising fan. I know this was problem of gpu or gpu voltage controller, but this one is without gpu.
Is there some known failure points on them or i just count on cold solder under cpu? -
by pcwhiz24This issue has me stumped! I have this Lenovo IdeaPad and the SSD (NVME) keeps on randomly disconnecting. It'll stop being detected in BIOS randomly and when I turn it off and back on sometimes it'll detect again and boot up just fine...only to crash after a few minutes and either boot again or stop being detected.
Things I tried so far:
- Reset the CMOS by removing battery, held power buttons 60 seconds, all that jazz.
- BIOS is fully updated (had to use CHA341 because I bricked it the first time trying to update it)
- Tried multiple working NVME drives... -
by Fam787I bought a second hand Mid 2014 A1398 MacBook Pro when I lived in Australia. I'd bought it as a back-up machine because I had a Mid 2014 MacBook Pro, and realising it might one day fail, I wanted a backup machine because I don't like change.
Two weeks after buying MBP2, the seller called me to check if everything was OK with the unit, which I thought was odd. At that stage I might have turned it on a couple of times, but I'd not used it when he'd called. Over the last few years I used the machine seldomly because my original mac has been pretty OK. Every 3-6 months I'd charge it...5 Photos12-27-2024, 05:19 PM -
by ElewaysHi,
I have a problem on a Macbook A1398 with motherboard 820-3787-A.
It works fine, but sometimes it turns off.
I noticed that it happens more frequently with the battery plugged, so I changed the battery, but it does the same.
It also heats up a lot.
Any suggestions?
Thank you -
by mbcontrolThis MBP 15" Retina (2015) is running normal. The only problem is that the fans are often spinning maximum without any hard work for the cpu.
I've already invested a lot in troubleshooting and can't get any further. I don't find any voltage errors or errors in the data lines. So far I haven't found any defective resistors or capacitors.
I have already changed the following parts on the board: U7090 (LT3470AED), C7099, C7094, U7100 (ISL6259AHRTZ).
I renewed the thermal paste and cleaned the board in the ultrasonic cleaner.
