    Packard Bell Easynote Hera C

    Hi

    I have this PB Easynote that i need help with.

    Info;

    Packard Bell Easynote Hera C
    MB: DAOPE1MB6D0 or HannStar J MV-4 94V-0 0830
    I do find schematics that matches the components on the laptop if i use the first name. But they are not free and i do not completely understand them... yet.

    Problem;
    It won't power on with either battery or ac the only led i get is when the battery is in and the ac is connected, only then do i get a solid orange led.

    But the battery doesn't charge and as mentioned the laptop won't power on.
    I need help with how to diagnose this, where do i start?

    I read another thread where the user had similar symptoms and the culprit seemed to be the power management controller, but that was Toshiba and the PWM controller was a max17435etg where as mine is a max8770gtl832.

    It makes me doubt if it could be the same failing component in my case?

    I appreciate any enlightenment and please tell me what else i can provide you with to make this diagnose easier.

    Thank you for reading

      Thank you! I really appreciate it!
      It seems to be my mobo, a lot of components on the schematic are the same.

      On the last page i could read;
      P31
      PQ33, PQ39, PQ35, PQ36, PQ37, PQ38 change parts to solve shortage issue
      Page 31 has the title CPU CORE and is showing just the MAX8770.
      I believe the logic course of action is to test the "PQ" components?

      Also on page 28 i can find the Power on sequence flow chart, after the power button comes "EC/87541". I don't know if that's a circuitry or a single component, is it something that you guys with more experience are familiar with?

      I was thinking i could check it out (test it) but i don't know what I'm looking for.

      Thanks again

        it is embedded controller, and is a single component. it is the bigger component on the board after cpu/gpu and/or south/north bridge or a hub.

          Thanks.

          Is it possible to find some kind of schematic/diagram showing pin voltages and such?
          Tried to Google but end up with the same pdf with the general description, features and dimensions.

          Or shall I just proceed buying a new one and see the results?

              Thanks spidey.

              I didn't think that EC/87541 and IT8512 was the same IC.

              Observing the flow chart, I believe NBSWON should be what I will be testing first?
