    Alienware 17 R3 screen black and lines flicker

    Hi guys.I purchased 3 weeks ago used Alienware 17 R3 laptop with 980M and 6820HK....I did some ligh gaming so far,laptop worked okay, no issues at all.
    I turned it on earlier this morning went to have breakfast and when I came to my room all I saw on laptop is this on pic,and had to power it off to get normal pic.
    What is the culprit/cause of this, something serious?
    I did sime gaming like 30 min to an hour no issues in games, temp of laptop and GPU is max 82°C.

      Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

      Hi all
      I have lines on the screen...which is an age old problem that can be remedied by watching Youtube videos and getting out the tape.
      My issue (after successfully fixing a different sammy tv with a separate tcon board and isolating the side of the panel...):

      This tv has an integrated tcon...so it is a bit more confusing when trying to isolate the clocks.
      It has a c ribbon and i have taken each end out to see if that will isolate the lines. instead, it makes it much worse ALL over the tv!

      So....i don't know what end of the C ribbon to work with...

      It have horizontal lines in screen

      How do you think is it lcd fault or most likely gpu is dead?

      Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

      My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

      This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...
