    Acer E1 572G no power (dead)

    Hi everyone,

    i have this laptop it is completely dead.
    V5WE2 LA-9531P

    No 3.3 or 5v
    VCC is ok 19v
    PU401 blew up rails to coil and jumper PJ401
    tried to replace IC but it has a burned pin underneath making IC unusuable

    Short on PJ401
    all other pins from the IC area seem ok
    PJ401 = 2 oms

    bought a buck converter from ebay
    when soldering out + from buck converter to PJ401 and powering up :
    The Coil from the buck converter is getting crazy hot and the CPU is getting slightly warm.
    I cant check the whole board because i dont have a thermal camera.
    I also dont have a Power Supplay to control the amps output rate.

      PJ401 = 2 ohms
      Is PJ401 still 2 ohms to ground on the resistance?

          In resistance its completx shorted to ground.
          I dont have a good Multimeter so it Shows only shorted to ground.

              Hi,

              my Lenovo 720 is dead. :-(
              I guess i have found an issue on the 5V buck converter (**BAC7NH** from Silergy (also called SY8288C 5V)) but i am not completely sure so i want to ask here for some hints.

              When i attach the supply 19V, i only have 1.8V on the OUT (it should be 5V). The IC is getting hot.
              The EN1 is completely off 0V, EN2 show 1.5V.
              If i inject 5V on the EN1 the OUT goes up to 2.6V (but never reach 5V).
              BS seams SHORT to the OUT....

              Hello, I have an Acer veriton n4670GT that, due to a fall to the ground, only started if I did a BIOS reset.
              The power button ar ok, and when power off windows, then if press power button, this power on, but goes to boot loop, like press power button forever

              It crossed my mind to try a BIOS update and when I finished it turned off and no longer starts in any way.
              I have a flash programmer, but the file you download from the Acer website has a .CAP extension, it is not a .BIN

              I have programmed it, but it still won't start, it is dead
