SSD MacBook Pro 2015 not recognized and gets hot

Hi everyone, a customer brought me an original Apple SSD (mz-jpv2560/0a4) from a 2015 MacBook Pro to ask me to recover the data. He told me that the computer was taken to the Apple center but that there was a problem with the motherboard and therefore it could not be repaired....
However they removed the SSD so for try to recover data
I tried to insert this SSD into another 2014 MacBook Pro that I had but the SSD could not be seen either from the recovery or from an operating system started from USB (BigSur or El Capitan)
I also tried with a USB adapter but nothing
I also tried with a PCI adapter on a Windows PC, here the situation is slightly different.
The computer turns on very slowly, even the r-studio program opens after about 1 minute and the SSD is identified but starting the scan generates errors and finds nothing
I noticed that when the SSD is connected the first chip towards the connectors heats up
Is there any possibility to recover the data?

    Thank you

I don't do data recovery on drives, but the guys that do all use PC-3000. Pretty expensive unless you do a lot of this stuff and requires a lot of hardware knowledge as well. Special firmware's are often required from the OEM to recover data from drives, but with Apple drives there is nothing available that I'm aware of. Apple's response is 'oh, just restore your last backup from iCloud (which you have to pay for)'. They often give you a number to data recovery mob to offload you.

If the customer really wants the data, send it to a data recovery specialist.

Macbook Pro mid 2015 battery required to boot?
      by twonk9098
I have read many forums that state the Macbook Pro 2015 needs / does not need a battery to boot. I'm not convinced as yet which is correct.
The Macbook Pro mid 2015 I have has no battery and do not really want to buy one just to test.
This model has the newer trackpad which is not clickable when turned off.
At the moment, without battery it does turn on with no display (with backlight), no chime and then turns off after 13 seconds. I see this from the power draw on my DTPS.
If I hold the power button whilst connecting the magsafe 2 charger it turns on, again no image but...

MacBook Pro 2018 with Activation Lock

      Hi everyone!

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.

I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...

      Need BIOS/EFI dump for MacBook Air A1466 2015 EMC 2925 (8gb)
      by yura8
Hi there! I have not so usual situation...

I have 2015 MacBook Air A1466 EMC 2925 with 8Gb of RAM. It seams that I've killed it by bad SSD adapter. It starts, cooler works... But no chime, screen is black. SMC reset seams works, NVRAM reset doesnt works...

My repair guy has checked all possible. It's all ok with power. The last idea - I could kill EFI firmware... So, I need a firmware of EFI to check it. I have a programmer. But I don't have a similar laptop now to download it and compare

P.S. If you have else any ideas about repair, or you had a similar...

Unable to recover files from A1466 Macbook air SSD using enclosure
      by kuba2102
Hi. SSD is not being detected in Mac m2 and older imac. I tried 3 different external enclosures and non of them work. I tried the cheap one and then the expensive enclosure. The laptop is dead and had short on the board so unsure if the ssd is working. Need your opinion guys
