Satellite L645 ATI GPU Shutdown Every 20 seconds

Hi All,

I've Toshiba Satellite L645 with ATI GPU, the laptop turn on and boot normally and shutdown every 20 seconds, when I turn on again it will boot normally and turn off after 20 seconds, need your advise who have found problem like this. Already try to :
- Reballing both Chipset GPU and HM55
- Flashing Bios
- Replace thermal IC
Do I have to replace new chipset ? GPU or HM55 first ? or the problem is somewhere else ? Any idea....

its this model got proadlizer on it? if it have, try to change that

O wait just fix a Toshiba 2 weeks ago. It had i7 shuts down after less then a min.
I swap the CPU with a i5.
The i7 it's it's working fine in another one.

You can try to change bios. Might be a ME problem. This is for Quanta TE2.

what cpu do you have?
nvm change it.
if you see some change that means the problem its related to caps near the cpu

it is ME region problem, you have to integrate a clean ME region to your existing bios file and upload it to your spi eprom.

if you see some change that means the problem its related to caps near the cpu

+VCC_CORE = 1.0v
+1.5V_CPUVDDQ = 1.3v
is it normal ?

it is ME region problem, you have to integrate a clean ME region to your existing bios file and upload it to your spi eprom.

ME region ?? do you mean Main Eprom..? Toshiba Satellite L645 - PSK0LL model, do you have it? try downloaded from toshiba site and extract it but the file bigger than 4MB (4.50MB). Already try with the original one from the laptop itself with no success

I've got another Toshiba , same type and model. Same problem, just different CPU only. This is Core i3, any idea all...?

The earlier uploaded bios might not have been correct. I downloaded the version from Toshiba website. Did you save the original bios? If so post it here, then the ME region can be compared. Try these from toshiba site. First bios and if it does not help, reprogram the EC bios also.

Its same in safe mode? If yes, u need change your gpu

It's Working, just flash Main bios from yours. Finally Problem solved
Sadly the core i3 need to replace HM55 cause trial and error before I get your bios file, anyway problem solved spend a week to solve this who made me hopeless .
I think this is what Spidey mean above . Btw how did you do to extract bios file from toshiba site ? use a same working laptop or just doing by software ? Cause I've do that using extracting tool like I said before but the file much bigger and no EC file ?

Anyway how to extract this file ( Dell Latitude E6520 Bios ), Universal Extractor and command /writeromfile failed
