Dell vostro 1540 laptop does not recognize USB.

Hi,
When i plug any usb or flash or card readr with dell avostro, it show usb does not recognized msg but these devices properly works on other pc,s. I checed to change with different usb devices and other usb ports and reinstall drivers and windows.

How does the usb show up in control panel/device manager
perhaps post a screen print.

Well a screen print would have been more useful - right click and post a screen print
of "properties". probably just says cannot be found or no driver installed but may have a problem number
I think some laptops have a fuse on the usb so if something is plugged in by mistake it
does not do too much damage - you could check for that.

EDIT
Also on some dells the usb is on a separate small board that plugs into the motherboard
If so check the socket clean and refit.

yes! the separated board its the problem.
i try to fix one to but the time until the component came and the cost it was similar to buy a usb board from ebay. i got mine around 17GBP.
