    Dell Inspiron N4010 (DA0UM8MB6E0 Rev:E) - Water Damage

Hello all, I received this laptop with water damage.

Schematic (I think this is the right one):

    Symptoms:
    a) Battery LED lights up for 3-5 seconds then goes out.
    b) Power LED used to flicker around same timeframe.
    c) C605 and C607 was missing and each had a pad with solder missing.
    d) Seems like only top layer of motherboard was affected.

    Attempts post-diagnostics:
    a) Soldered the 2 missing capacitors.
    b) C605 didn't have any readings, C607 measured 19V
    c) Cleaned out board with IP-Alcohol.

Stagg sms12p audio amp has water damage
      by edugimeno
Hi! My friend just brought this audio amplifier/speaker fro his music band saying they realized its got no sound. Led powers up but there no sound at all
I opened it and found 3 board. 2 of them are for input plugs and potentiometers, and the other larger board has the amplifiers for 2 large speakers that it drives
There's also a large toroid transformer that feeds a lower voltage to the first 2 boards and a larger voltaje (36x2 rectified close to 100v) to the power board. The power board has the plugs for both speakers
There is only one signal wire connecting the first boards...

Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 that suffered water damage

      Hi,

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 that suffered water damage. It doesn't turn on (white power light flashes when on button pressed), and the amber light flashes when plugged in.

      Symptoms:
      • Short detected – sparks appear when touching the charging port connection with board with a metal (even a multimeter probe).
      • Visible damage – after cleaning corrosion, I found 4 possibly burnt memory chips near PC3165, labeled UD5, UD6, UD7, and UD8.

What are my next steps to diagnose and possibly repair it without replacing the entire board? Any guidance would be greatly...

      A2141 820-01700 Water Damage L8504 Damaged, U3100/U3200 power cycles UB300/UB400 5V .25A

Like title says A2141 came in with Water Damage, customer desperately wants the data.

The actual water ingress doesn't appear too bad it sat for a day but was very dusty internally. I have no idea why L8504 was arced there is no apparent moisture there or around the LVDS cable; however, the LVDS to screen screw studs had popped off at some point and somebody tried securing it with kapton tape.

I had to create a micron wire pad jumper to reconnect the south side of the L8504 since the primary pad was blasted down to the vias.

That said after cleaning up the...

      Hello!
Today i received a Legion 5 pro with motherboard NM-D562 that suffered water damage, no power at all, no led, no fans, nothing.
      I measure 20v on PQ5401 at pins 5, 6, 7 and 8 but 0v at 1, 2, 3 and 4.
      Is this normal?
      Thanks in advance!
