    Samsung XE700T1C charging circuit

not sure how familliar anyone would be with this but long story short, a reversed polarity charger was connected to this and now it won't charge. I can't find any circuit diagrams of this (I looked through the service manual and found nothing)

but I think I have found the charging circuit ( the -dc in leads to one of the pins of the TI chip), I'm pretty sure there is a diode or fuse blown somewhere that can be replaced, the battery itself isn't getting any of the charging current (12v in, the battery which is currently at 7.5v stays at 7.5 v when the charger is plugged in)

I have attached the Samsung ATIV pro XE700T1C service schematics for anyone else out there who might ever need it

    The chip says
    2421-2
    TI 26A
    P2 JH64

    or
    2421-2
    TI 2BA
    P2 JH64

im guessing its a TI SOIC? anyone else have any better experience with this or can anyone else offer advice? I can't seem to find anything about this chip

edit: did some more tests, pretty sure this is the chip, found this:http://www.ti.com/product/tps2421-2?CMP=AFC-conv_SF_SEP

advice on what to dO? Schottky diode replace?

    Re: Samsung XE700T1C charging circuit

I repaired a Samsung netbook lately, cant remember the model or much else.
The owner had applied reverse polarity somehow from a charger.
I traced the 19v path in to the Drain of a MOSFET, then from its Source to the Source of another MOSFET, both N-ch.
One of the MOSFETs was Gate to Source short.

    Will you update your profile?

not really sure where to find it and I don't think you might know either
Would it be helpful if I took pictures of the entire motherboard?

Looking through the spare parts available which seems to be quite substantial, I noticed APL5155 a low ground current linear regulator, i wonder why that is a available...

I think the mobo code is:
          BA92-11606A

any assistance or tips on how I might deal with this without schematics?

Any idea how I can find that out? Thing is I'm not sure of this qualifies for a laptop cause it's a tablet pc

              Apparently the codename is Jones?

Same problem. Polarity inverted in charged. Is tps 2421-2 problem? Can someone help?

                      mosfet q38 shorted.
is a aon7200. you can replace by 9402gyt. now is power on without battery and with battery inside.
in my case, bq735 was not afected
