automatically restarts

my toshiba C850 laptop automatically restarts even if i shout down the laptop by pressing the power switch for long time. it gets hang on boot time also. when it get power from battery or without battery (with adapter) it acts the same.

any idea?

if you have nec/token on that board just replace it with 4 330uf 2.5v tantalum caps.

now if there's no nec/token, it could be gpu.

you need to test hdd, memory, did you update bios?
tell us what you did untill you got this results

exactly how long it takes to reboot ? everytime different or the same amount of time ? what is the chipset ? how about thermal issues ? you every time give a litle bit info and ask for help.. no pics no measurements, no....
