compaq cq42 restart problem

its a compaq cq42 i3 and ati graphics.when turn it on it doest have display but after a few seconds it restarts and continou restarting.if i take out the ram then it doest restarts.any body deal with this problem before...

Yes it looks like GPU problem maybe try to reflow it.

As I see it a number of possibilities -
1) Memory fault such as bad RAM, bad slot
2) Failed north bridge / integrated memory controller hub
3) Corrupt BIOS

Oh sorry it's an i3 so the chipset / northbridge is a bit different, however it does sound like something to do with memory or CPU - RAM communication...

known CPU problem, try swapping CPU

thanks to all for reply last night i reball the gpu and now its ok runs fine

you should changed it, it would not last.. write it down til your client comes back. just for the record..
