Asus K53SV turn on automatic

Hello,

I make a search but I didnt find nothing about this problem.
I have a Asus K53SV that when I plug the ac adapter turn on automatic, ie with touch the power on button the notebook turn on.
The problem is it turn on, but dont show image, dont run the cooler fan and only show the power led.
The problem is the same with the battery, but the only difference is without ac adapter the notebook dont turn on automatic, but when i press the power button, it turn on but dont show image, dont run the cooler fan and only show the power led.
I disassembled the laptop and did not see any burn component. I wonder if anyone ever had a similar problem or have ant idea about the source of the problem.

Check if it has any media key that turns on the laptop.It might have a short there.

this is due to bad RTC battery , chek and if battery have at least 2.5 volts , then bend a little bit the cmos connector socket pins . after inserting the cmos battery back , chek on the soldered onboard pins if you got the same voltage you checked on the cmos battery . if no then the problem can be with the KBC . but for that let us know first your reading on the voltage values

hi.i have the same problem.i've tried reflowing the chipset and video chip.i've tried to shut down the laptop and try to press ctrl+home for force bios reflash but it starts imediatly after i force shut down him.

i made a little research and found out that it might have a bios related issue and i must rewrite the bios.i have an original version and a custom made one from an italish forum.can someone point me out if this is possible how to do it?

i have the same problem , laptop automatic turn on ,no image, just 1 sec black screen and no image,

I try flashing the bios but nothing.

power led , caps look and num led is allways on.

i solve the problem . reballing the northbridge and change 2 mosfet from power

Nice fix.

How did you find out the fets where bad?

I understand how they go bad. Because of those balls under the chip.
Overheat and fail. I think they where the supply V for NB.

They where heating up?

Nice to have fixed the problem. but i had similar problem with a Samsung r530. The cause was actually the mosfet that switches the 3.3valw to 3.3vs. it showed a short between the source and the drain. so once the adaptor or bat was present, it sends the 3.3valw directly across the mosfet. Changed it and problem was solve

Hello i have the same problem. It started that that the laptop randomly wont work. It turns on automatic but no image.

I checked with laboratory power supply and found out that it drained only 0.07 amps. When i checked no power to cpu and chipset.
Signals from EC were missing.
I resoldered EC, now it drains 1.00 Amps but still no picture. It still turns on automatic. When i turn of, it turns on itself and turns on and off every 3 seconds.
I suspect a breakage somewhere but i cannot find it. All voltages are ok.
Sus, pw good all ok.

Any ideas?
