    Sony VAIO PCG-7D2L notebook. Very Hard to Trace...

    Good Day to all Forum mate and To all Expert here

    I Have Sony VAIO PCG-7D2L notebook no Power. no indicating light.
    i check the Power Adapter or Adaptor is it ok and i Change a New Good one and tested using in Tehnical Service. Same as again No power.

    I Check the Power Switch . the power Switch no Problem.


    any one Here in counter or have experiences repair in This Unit Sony VAIO PCG-7D2L notebook... would you help me to Fix this....

    also the Unit Have no Repair Before it is So Fresh... im the First one to opened this Laptop

    History; the Costumer told me she used this one day after shutdown in windows. 1 day not use then she try to press the power. the laptop can't turn On...

      Post a clear, in focus, well lit (No Flash) picture of the area of the motherboard around the
      power socket.
      Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

        here's the Picture I try to Check a PQ1(4835B)mosfet it is a Short in Source to Drain?
        i already replace a same parts but same as Problem. no light indicating in Power or battery charging indicate.

            my opinion is that you must remove all ribbons and see the continuity for the switch power board.
            Second: check the power button and see if you got any voltage there. 3.3v most of the Cases.
            Plzz find a better camera and make a macro picture near the power supply jack so we can see the 8 legs chips.
            p.s. when you check a mosfet before you remove it , remove the cpu then check again.
            the cpu in most of the cases make the fet stay in short
            Just cook it! It's already broken.

                Hello,

                Once I had the same problem and it turned out it was from a shorted capacitor near the usb ports if I remember right.
                Try to measure there and I hope that it helped you.
