Greeting to everyone!
I have a Toshiba L650 that works perfectly good on battery, but does neither charge nor work on external power. I have attached the schematic of the power supply part of the board, so I cut to the chase.
After some experiments I probably destroyed the charging chip (MAX17435ETG+)
but it still works the same (even with the IC removed).
I get 19v to the Drain of Q6002 (with adapter on but battery removed) but only 3v on the Source and nothing to the gate (same as before destroying the IC).
With battery on, I get 12v on the source (probably because it's connected with Q6005 Source) and I have already replaced it althought it measured normal (just multimeter).
The question might sound stupid after all this intro...
I want to make the laptop work on the adapter. If I remove U6000 (the destroyed MAX17435ETG+), Q6002 and Q6005 and then short Q6002's source and drain, will it work without frying anything?
Thanks in advance!
