hello guys i have a problem
compaq C40 does not display images
and flashing LED lights over 3x

on hp sites 3 blinks then pause means memory problem.

try to reset your memory, or clean it then put it back. you can also used other memory for testing.

Might be that there is an issue with graphics chip (possibly shorted).

And as other folks mentioned, there could also be a memory issue too.

Edit: What specs does the laptop have? (like, memory, graphics chip, processor, etc...)

yea your right maybe the graphic chip has been damage try to reflow..and also check the ram for sure.
