HP Compaq 6820s video problem.

Hi again. I got this laptop with video problem (multicolor vertical stripes) on external monitor work OK. see video http://tinypic.com/r/2n830n/6

I first do reball of GPU (ATI) and no change, then reball Intel chipset and no changes

I must say when I lift ATI chipset and inspection board 9 pins missing, I do not pull them from board, it just missing i dont know why, but 100% is not my mistake.

So what can I do, before drop mboard to trash ?

If it works on an external monitor, I'd check the LCD panel itself and swap it if necessary.

Toshiba and Apple both had problems with bad LCD panels in their laptops a couple years back. The symptoms looked like a bad GPU (lines on the screen, just like in your pic), but it was actually a T-Con fault (i.e. needs new LCD, as the T-Con on laptop LCDs is not replaceable)
