Tested i7 on mt old laptop = no boot.

Does anyone can say if bios for those 2 cpu is same, or different?

When i was updating unlocked bios on the old laptop, there was no difference nor was spoken about bios/ CPU difference.
Hi! any luck with this old guy? Have same issue - one day it's just went off and ended with the blinking. Schematics and voltages are ok. perephereal are ok.
(16f1 i7720qm gx660) charged the battery with external device(was low on voltage) now it powers on, but no picture, no signs of bios initiation.=( any advice is much appreciated!

What are the voltages you are getting in the inductors? Please upload an image of the mob with voltages in the inductor indicating. Also, upload the schematic in the schematic section. Have you tried using another RAM? Does the reset voltage in the RAM slot represent something

        Re: MSI Gx660 ms16f1 troubleshooting

So now i'm ok and ready to describe the case.
disclaimer: I'm not professional electronics serviceman, all i do is for fun.

        I got my hands on 16f1 i7720qm gx660.
Symptoms: notebook worked fine till it was abandoned for couple days when it went off and never turned on.

it showed red battery indicator, power on button lightens for couple seconds and silence.
The notebook owner purchased a new battery installed it with no effect.

The notebook was in service earlier with typical power connection faliure - flexible wire was soldered to plus connector and it worked fine for a while. So i cheked the input chain and found no issues.

With new battery installed i've changed CMOS battery to new one and that's didn't work either.

I abandoned the device for couple months till i got time to get back to it.
So i disassambled old battery and charged it directly with usb module.
When battery was installed notebook showed signs of being alive (it reacted to powerbutton, fan went crazy, but no visual neither on build in screen nor via hdmi)

i checked currencies, it had 19v on coils near processor and 5v near bios, but video was cold.
I played a bit with disconnecting memory modules.
Than i took out CMOS battery and left it for a while minding my business.
When i came back to it, and tryed to turn it on to perform more measurements it just booted up. IDK what was that, but now it works as expected for 24 hours allready.

P.S. I could not find any schematics for this motherboard, so if anybody could help with it, I'd be grateful. (I still want to figure out what the hell was that=)
