HP 840 G1 battery and charging issues

HP 840 g1 - new battery - when inserted, it turns on normally from the battery and when inserting the charger it starts to use energy from the charger. The battery is not recognized (%), but when removing the charger the notebook continues to use battery power. The laptop does not charge the battery.
there is a message: "warning - machine is not commit state"

Since the battery is not recognized, do check that the contacts are mating with the battery connector on the logic board and with a good seating.

Meter in voltage mode. Carefully measure the voltage to ground on each pin of the battery connector. Checking the voltage to ground of the smbus lines (SCL and SDA) which are used by the host logic board for the battery details. If either of these 2 lines are parked (ie. Damaged from ESD event) then the communication will halt. The other possibility is that the battery is defective for the bms inside the battery pack. Would you have the older battery still? If yes, does it get detected by the logic board?

Two batteries were bought, the first one didn't know and the customer returned it. The second was also not recognized. I quickly checked the pins and they are clean. On Wednesday the client will bring it to me again. The charger is HP original 90w.

The smbus lines voltage readings are a suspect. They must be ~3v3 for each.

how to prevent a connected charger from draining battery when not charging?
          by flat-earther
I have an RC radio handset(Taranis QX7) which doesn't have internal battery charger which means I had to remove the battery every time I needed to charge it.
So to improve it, I added a 15W USB-C charger board(link) inside and soldered it to the same connector on the PCB where the battery plugs into, great, now I can simply charge it with a USB-C cable.

but the problem I found is that after the radio sat for two weeks without being used the 2S 18650 battery that I'm using was at 4.2V!
So the battery is backfeeding the charger and being drained.

          How can I prevent...

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
          by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

ISL88739AHRZ ISL88739 Laptop Battery Charger Datasheet
          by Document Archive
The ISL88739 & ISL88739AHRZ are a highly versatile combo battery charger
configurable for operating as either a Hybrid Power Boost (HPB)
charger or a Narrow VDC (NVDC) charger, supporting 2-, 3-, or
4-cell batteries. Both configurations allow the battery to work with
the adapter together to supply the system load when it exceeds
the adapter capability, referred to as system Turbo mode. HPB
charger configuration reverse-boosts battery energy to the system
bus to help the adapter provide the system power in Turbo mode.
          NVDC charger configuration...

Extremely Strange Issues with charging and battery on Zephyrus G14(GA401)
          by DaLZy
I have recently come into possession of a G14 that cannot detect or charge it's battery. Initially both windows and the bios agreed that the battery was on "0%" but the laptop was able to run without AC power. I was able to get the laptop to detect the true charge of the battery(26%) in windows for a moment but it wouldn't charge or update the percentage when the battery drained. I attempted a few more EC resets and battery reconnections and now the battery shows at 0% in bios and 100% in windows. Additionally the machine is extremely laggy when plugged into AC. When on ac power in the...
