To me, sounds like crapware that has poor decision logic in the EC that is performing these integrity checks. If AD_ID is indeed 0v then at the very least, the charging should halt and the CPU speed should be throttled to force the logic board to consume less power as the power adapter's power rating is unknown.

Strange thing is that if charger is low wattage, then ec prevents the laptop from starting, so ec is sensing the charger ID. Still strange.
      Still no solution.

Measure the voltage to ground of this analog signal that defines the power adapter rating for each adapter you are testing. Post the list.

150W charger has 1.0V on AD_ID (only was here like 1 minute for diagnosing another laptop that failed so dont have this item on my bench anymore)
          230W charger has 1.7V on AD_ID
Or do you mean measure Id middle pin on the adapter itself without connecting to the laptop?

WHEA error is mostly 'coz of bad SOC.. It'll work intermittently without issue 'coz of heat applied during repair process. has faced this on a couple of Asus/Dell. Only on one occassion, i got success by replacing SOC. Rest i gave up as i dont had same SOC to replace.

Reprogrammed the EC that had 2 differences from the original but the problem persist, i dont have any more idea than reflow the PCH or GPU.
If someone has a better idea then dont hold if back

                  1. Repasted CPU ang GPU and did a full thermal pad replacement, not temprerture maxes in 89 celsius after 30 minutes of stress test cpu and gpu together
                  2. More info about trying to start windows by disabling GPU in windows device manager: it works until 2-3 restarts then if freezes just like when charger connected.
The only thing working is that disconnecting charger while windows boots then reconnecting it.
Whea still exists and windows cannot even tell what is the actual problem.

HP can go to hell i dump this poor guy.

                    Found the culcpit.
                    Guys I was an idiot

                    REASON of WHEA:
I have diassembled and repaded and repasted CPU and GPU when the laptop camo to me because the heatsink was destroyed and i needed to repair it.
Durring repasting CPU I only did it under simple magnifier (as I have done it 100 times before)
Now I have rechecked it and there was a tiny stoned residue (abouth 1mm and it was probably from previous paste dryed and build up)
I carefully scaped it away and repasted cpu core and BUMM. Laptop started as it should and even CPU temp with turbo is under 90 celsius.
So if you have a WHEA under windows installation language select screen that could be because the CPU turns on the intel turbo and HP does not care about giving you info that the thermal shutdown is happened and that is why fan turns full speed when this WHEA occurs.

Thanks for everyone for all the ideas that lead to this solution.

                      MORE INFO:
Windows installer 10 and 11 will still freeze on load if the charger connected but after every driver is installed then the problem does not occur anymore.
I think i will ask HP about a permanent solution because I suspect we need to integrate some driver into windows installer to prevent this error.
                      Have a nice day guys
