Re: Samsung A53 5G No touch

So if you disassemble (from a sealed phone) a non-working replacement screen, the touch will come back?

No, multiple displays cannot be defective. For us, our experience was that you had to literally pound the digitizer to have it recognize the finger presses. Again, on the ipad. The vendor blamed the lamination process of the digitizer on the display.

The touch of the replecement screen is working right now. The factory screen has small burned like lines at the top of the screen and it does not work at all.

What I find weird is that I disconnect the battery, reconnect it - the display's touch will not work. But If I do bunch of reboots with the volume and pwr key, it will work again.

        Okay I found something.

If I turn off the phone without the charger plugged in, the touch will not work after it boots up.

If Do a hard reset with the volume + pwr key AND I plug in the charger the touch screen will work.

        WTF?

@piernov - the op has tested multiple displays and each is behaving the same. They cannot all be bad.

Are there schematics available for this A53 model ? Can you link it? Do not post it here but in the schematic forum (if available).

Sadly, I cannot find any schematic or bitmap for the device. Only a service manual and a block diagram. Nothing very useful sadly. Maybe refox has bitmap for it but I don't have a subscription for it right now.

                Something I can reproduce:

If I put in a SIM card, as soon as it asks for a PIN code, the touch goes off.
Is it possible that something is wrong with the charging board!? The SIM card slot is located on it.

Like batteries (and any other part really, happens a lot with ICs as well) you can definitely get multiple bad touchscreen in a row, especially when you buy the cheapest aftermarket. These are generally untested parts, even though the listing says otherwise.
Not saying this is the issue here, but just saying it can happen. You can never be 100% confident your parts are good these days.

The Oled screens will not work with Android 14(UI6).Buy original LCD.
