    Huawei P30 Lite no display

    Hello everyone!

I received a Huawei P30 lite for screen replacement today.

The original screen worked, but had crack at the top left part and made the screen glitch out. This is why the customer wanted a screen replacement.

Now after I received the replacement part. I transferred all the components from the original case to the new one. It's a frame + display replacement combo.

Now after installing the new screen a I quickly turned on the phone to test it, huawei logo showed up everything was nice and cool.

But I noticed I forgot to transfer the power button circuit from the old frame, so I proceeded to take it apart and do it.

Now, since I reinstalled everything the screen won't work.

The phone turns on, since it's connecting to my PC, showing up its driver installer in the file explorer. But the screen backlight flashed only for a second then goes dark for ever.

I measure around 0.60v on the backlight caps on the motherboard. But otherwise i cannot find a short on this rail.

    Where I should look now?
Thank you for reading the wall of text and for helping me!

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
    by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

Trouble to identify part (Lunii screen) for replacement
    by FreakyMex
Hello guys. I'm a complete noob in electronics. I'd like to repair my child Lunii's (a "story box"), basically an audio player that allows the childs to choose between several options the places, characters, objects of the story, and then play a story according to the choice of the child. There is a screen that display the selected option before each choice. The Lunii fell and the screen is now broken.
I'd like to repair it (probably just have to change the part, because the lunii still works perfectly fine) but I can't manage to identify the part/order it online. Do you have any...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
    by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

    Screen Replacement for A2337
    by kino0924
    Hi,

I have a 2020 macbook air m1 that needs a screen replacement (cracked)

Right now, I have few options but not sure what to take

    1. Screen only from aliexpress (80 USD)
    2. Housing and screen from aliexpress (144 USD)
    3. Genuine used screen from ebay (250 USD ish)
    4. New screen from ifixit (450 USD)

To be honest, I dont think new screen from ifixit is worth it since I can get it replaced by apple with same amount of price (haha)

Now, I am wondering is it really worth to spend 100 more on used genuine screen....

A1312 (27” iMac 2009-2011) A1407 (Thunderbolt Display) A1316 (Cinema Display) Display Black Screen Repair

    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....
