Question about HP BIOS - Intel vPro

    Hi,

yesterday a HP-Technician replaced the Mainboard in my new HP Elitebook 650 G9 (6F2N4EA#ABD). During the programming he enabled vPro (old Mainboard hasn´t vPro enabled) - the complete Hardware is vPro capable. Now, vPro is enabled but i´ve no access to the BIOS options. Neither in BIOS --> Advanced --> Remote Managment Options nor the F6 Option (ME Setup) are visible. So it´s not possible for me to use, change or provisioning Intel vPro.

Is there a trick to made the Options visible for me?

    Thanks a lot

    Greetings

      Hi mon2,

thank you for the link. I tried all steps (Windows key + V or B don´t work, nothing happend). Reset CMOS and BIOS Recovery also don´t work. Already nothing about vPro or ME Setup visible in BIOS.

        🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
        by macabook
        Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
        🧩 Initial Issue
        • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
        • External display (HDMI) shows

Dell Precision 5540 - Absolute / Computrace permanently enabled. Need bios fix to disable
        by Mr.Ultimate
Hi, I have Dell precision 5540 laptop from old workplace, decommissioned old stock. its a good spec laptop i9-9880H etc, so I decided to keep it and use it for personal purposes.
I was checking bios settings and I found that Absolute (Computrace) is permanently enabled/activated, and field is grayed out, unable to change it to disabled/deactivated state. The laptop status is clean, absolute has no any warnings or messages booting pre-bios pre-OS or post booting, while using laptop, im just not feeling safe having absolute permanently enabled having backdoor on a bios level enabled to my...

        ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
        by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
        Some issues
        A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

        Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
        by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...
