    DJI Mavic Mini water damage

    Hey,
I got Mavic Mini for basically free. It dipped into a lake but managed to fly out. Then later it developed symptoms of not charging battery and there is only power for the camera in general. I have image of the camera via wifi so the main board kinda works. The main board looks pristine, no corrosion, no visible faulty part. I have washed it in IPA just to make sure there is no hidden corrosion.
I have tested the caps and voltage regulators on it for shorts but nothing like that. If I plug in the charger led 3 and 4 blinks 3 times. I have hard time finding any info on what it could mean.
Since DJI parts are rather pricey I'm looking for recommendations how to figure out if the battery is the issue or the main board. I'm also interested if anyone has tips on what parts to check on the main board if there is any way for repair.
    Thanks

Last time I fixed a similar dead drone like that, I almost gave up. Same thing here, camera worked and the body didn’t. Got it as a botched repair someone trying to replacing a motor.
Fixed the botched repair, but the drone still didn’t work, only the camera. It also wouldn’t pair with the controller, but I could watch the camera on my phone. So I took it apart again and figured out the crystal was grounded out. No clock, no workie… resoldered a little spec that looked a bit off and 5 minutes later I flew the drone.
The drone was a different brand, but similar size to yours. The camera part is separate from the main drone part, so the main board kind of works is vaguely true. Look with the oscilloscope at the crystal clock and see if it is there or not.

MacBook Air M4 A3240 Brand New Water Damage no Image
      by Ugur87
I have a brand new 13.6-inch MacBook Air M4 that was only used for three days and now has water damage. A glass of water was spilled over it. I examined the motherboard and there was only water next to the display connector. I cleaned it with isopropanol and the components look clean. The MacBook obviously turns on and draws 20 volts from the power supply. The keyboard backlight comes on, but the display remains black. Where should I best start? Even when I shine a light on the display, I don't see any image. I have all the tools I need, including an infrared camera. Where should I best start?...

Stagg sms12p audio amp has water damage
      by edugimeno
Hi! My friend just brought this audio amplifier/speaker fro his music band saying they realized its got no sound. Led powers up but there no sound at all
I opened it and found 3 board. 2 of them are for input plugs and potentiometers, and the other larger board has the amplifiers for 2 large speakers that it drives
There's also a large toroid transformer that feeds a lower voltage to the first 2 boards and a larger voltaje (36x2 rectified close to 100v) to the power board. The power board has the plugs for both speakers
There is only one signal wire connecting the first boards...

Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 that suffered water damage
      by Joel Ohana
      Hi,

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 that suffered water damage. It doesn't turn on (white power light flashes when on button pressed), and the amber light flashes when plugged in.

      Symptoms:
      • Short detected – sparks appear when touching the charging port connection with board with a metal (even a multimeter probe).
      • Visible damage – after cleaning corrosion, I found 4 possibly burnt memory chips near PC3165, labeled UD5, UD6, UD7, and UD8.

What are my next steps to diagnose and possibly repair it without replacing the entire board? Any guidance would be greatly...

      A2141 820-01700 Water Damage L8504 Damaged, U3100/U3200 power cycles UB300/UB400 5V .25A
      by abajor
Like title says A2141 came in with Water Damage, customer desperately wants the data.

The actual water ingress doesn't appear too bad it sat for a day but was very dusty internally. I have no idea why L8504 was arced there is no apparent moisture there or around the LVDS cable; however, the LVDS to screen screw studs had popped off at some point and somebody tried securing it with kapton tape.

I had to create a micron wire pad jumper to reconnect the south side of the L8504 since the primary pad was blasted down to the vias.

That said after cleaning up the...

Macbook Air A3114 5V 0.0A after water damage
      by s_henya
      Hi Mac experts :-)

Im usually not getting too many Mac logic boards repairs, (mostly PC laptops)
This Mac isn't powering on not boosting to 20v, stays at 5v with 0.0Amps.

Took out the board and it suffered some water damage, see attached pics.
All cleaned with IPA but due to long time with corrosion something already got shorted...

      any advice on the below:?

      1. Looking for relatively safe location for voltage injection as all of the caps around that area has 0.0ohms resistance.

I tried injecting 0.5v on one of the caps...
