    Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 3 – How to remove Absolute Persistence (74M25JWIEQ, CH341 1.8 V)

    Hi everyone,
    I’m trying to read the BIOS of my Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 3 to remove Absolute Persistence.
    The chip is 74M25JWIEQ, and I have a CH341 programmer with a 1.8 V adapter.
    I tried reading it using AsProgrammer (selecting 25W256JV). It created a 32 MB file, but the file appears completely blank and doesn’t work.
    I’ve double-checked connections and couldn’t find any visible shorts on the board.
    Could anyone advise a program or method that can successfully read this BIOS so I can remove Absolute Persistence?

      Hello, everyone.

      I've brought this laptop of gumtree it was sold under 'spare or parts' the only issue with the laptop was it tends to heat up after 2-3 hours and decrease in performance.

      because it did not come with a hdd I could not test it there, so I've installed a hdd and put windows 10 on it, I've used it for 5 hours and it did not heat up or decrease in performance however it turned off and displayed a message saying this laptop is disabled.
