ASROCK K7VT4A PRO schematics (socket 462)

I got this board but it won't power on.
    Seller said it worked.

Guess I'm unlucky with boards lately

    Thanks

    Good morning ,
Have you reassembled your card on the PC to test it?
What does it do when you plug it back in?

Re: ASROCK K7VT4A PRO schematics (socket 462)

      It does nothing.
No fan spin, nothing at all. Tried two PSUs, with 30 and 35A on +5 rail.

Put pci cards in it to test, nothing, PS2 with kayboard and AGP, nothing. Plugging all the cards and peripherals yields nothing......

A 1uF cap was missing from the back, replaced with a 10uF but no go anyway.

I need the schematics to check a few sot-23.

      Boring business

Hello, i have seen that someone some time ago already requested the schematics for this Board, but there were no replies. So i thought maybe i ask again..
I like to figure out some trouble with the cmos that i am having and therefore i'd like to take a look at the connections.
Is it possible to get hold of the schematics for this board? (Asrock K7VT4APro)

Oh okay, sorry. But. Is this realistic or like, won't likely happen?

Never found it. Sorry for the bad news.
Still can't figure out why it won't power on.

just to recap: you recapped and replaced bios and batt, and you get no power on after what action exactly? did you attach some components to the ide ports?

The issue is located on the POWER ON circuit. Even without any card or cpu, the board should turn on. End it does not.
My guess is a dead SIO (super input/output chip). But I don't have a spare to try a swap.

The cap that was missing is located on the back of the board, were the socket it is. It was probably a decoupling cap and it's not impeding the board to power on if missing.

I think you'd get better help on Vogons. Go there and open a thread.

Thx, will do. Also: funny, on my board there is also one of the large caps missing next to the socket. Ill replace that soon ,tho.
