    My Shuttle FV25 Problems

    I thought that I requested a kit, but I haven't received any information on payment and shipping yet. So much for the 24-hour guarantee. Anybody know what's up with that?

    So, my Shuttle SV25 has problems similar to what I've read in my online research.

    First problem is on bootup the system freezes at "Verifying DMI Pool Data...". I have to reboot many times usually until it passes into Windows.

    Second problem is when I go to graphic-intense websites or sometimes viewing video the system freezes forcing me to reboot and usually run into the first problem.

    My question is, will replacing the capacitors on my motherboard solve these problems?

    P.S. Oh yeah. I replaced the power supply after the original crapped-out on me. I wasn't able to find the exact one, so now the power supply sits on top of the caseless system. If anybody knows where to find the proper replacement power supply for the SV25, I would love to know where. Thanks.

    PSUs can be often repaired. It's worth it especially for non-standard proprietary types like this one.

        anyone know which caps on the PSU that need to be repaired and with what?

          If it's a Channel-Well CWT-150 PSU in the SV25, check out this thread:

          (This is about the PSU in the SV24, predecessor to the SV25).

            Hello! Bodie. I'm new here so bare with me if i screw up. I was just on ebay and i saw a couple of sites offering power supply for fv25.don't know if it will work for you. on the capacitors side, i have the same problem so i ripped my shuttle apart and behold! all three large caps were bad. I will attempt to repalce them tomorrow, i hope this solve the problem so wish me luck. geeno

              i had an fv24 system - all the caps are total junk - i recapped the board & it's great.
              sold the rest because i wanted the board for a project.
