Hi guys!. I have this Asus motherboard Wich back usb ports stopped working suddenly . I connect something and is not detected , just receives power but nothing appears in OS. I checked with multimeter in a working USB and I have 5v ,gnd and 0.025-0.030mv from data lines . Tested in the ones that are not working and I got same measures except for data líneas Wich are lower , about 0.010 MV or less . I think I have some failed "filters" ics Wich are marked as 027 30ECG but I didn't find any matches . Does anyone knows what are and what part number is needed please?. Thanks !

Re: Asus z87 pro back USB ports not working suddenly
Hi,
Can you please post the number of the isolator ICs ?
If you are adventurous, you can switch the same IC from a working USB port to the non-working one and see if it works. Another option is to take the D+ D- (for USB2) before the chip, connect to a USB connector and see if there is any communication. -

by DynaxSCHi,
I have an really very weired issue with ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING.
Some NVME (PCIe) SSD's are not working correctly in the second M.2 socket. An example of it is the SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD.
Some other NVME (I have only smaller ones) disk do work without any problem, also SAMSUNG disks, eg an MZVPV128HDGM-0000.
The behaviour is also really very strange, i.e.:- The disk shows always up in BIOS - so it is recognized, so far so good
- POST-ing with this disk with fresh Windows 24H2 installation (done in the M.2_1 socket) in the M.2_2 socket

Now then SMD before we start our usual Cat & Mouse game the Board im requesting a BIOS for is different then the existing thread and the thread isnt about a no POST asus its about adding Serial number to working Asus so please for the love of GOD don't merge/delete me this time.
So my problem is that it don't worknothing i tried a dump it powered on once and ... no display no POST and with OG dump its dead in the waters
so can anyone please help with this file ?

by Kambi13Hi there need some advise. I have an Asus N550JV-CN102H with board N550JV Re2.1 suddendly started to behave weird, with almost no keys working on keyboard, opening random stuff, touchpad also working weird
Nothing has been spilled. Tought, well keyboard has gone bad, ordered a replacement one, installed it, and to my surprise the issue remains the same....
I'm wondering if the EC has gone Bad. Updated Bios also, but with no avail.... Does anyone knows if ITE IT8585E/FX has to be programmed? -
by razor_amdWith ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.
For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.
I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.
This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...-

by DrFalkenHi!
I have an ASUS B85M-E with non-working USB and PS/2 ports.
GND and 5V are present.
I have tried other PCI and PCIe USB cards, but it still doesn't work.
I have reset the CMOS, updated the BIOS, but the problem is still the same.
What else should I check?
