    Reel-To-Reel

A coworker sent me a picture of a multi-lead capacitor in a 1961 reel to reel audio tape player. He cannot find the part anywhere.

The PN appears to be 11286120
    or12045-5

He is contemplating buying all separate caps if he cannot find the proper size/configuration.

    Any suggestions?

Can you post a picture of the capacitor in question

Back in the day multi-caps were housed in one container. Used to see them in Zenith TVs, etc. Using separate e-caps would work, just as well.

        Re: Reel-To-Reel

On older reel-to-reel tape machines, it's a non-polarized electrolytic multi-cap for (synchronous) motor speeds and direction, at mains voltages.
Have to see the cap and it's values to see if a replacement exists, or if there is room for separate parts.

I'm looking for schematics for Surface Pro 7+ LTE, model 1961. Motherboard description: MP5 L MB, Rev K-A
This is different board than Jalama schematics for Pro 7 that are available.
Probably goes by the name JL2 Poc

Reel to reel tube recorder Geloso G258, problem
          by Lef de art
          Hello my friends.
I have bought recently a almost unused reel to reel tube recorder, Geloso G258 feom 1958
But because of his age it is time for changing his electrolytic capacitors.
I leave in Cyprus so it will be more easy for me to buy them on line because here i don't have many choices in electronic components.

The capacitors i need are the following.

          *16μf 200ν-250v
          *32μf 350v-500v
          *25μf 30v
          *150MF 15v
          *0,0047μf 20%
          *0,0022μf 25%

          and one double/dual capacitor...

The AD7276, AD7277, AD7278, AD7274, AD7273 are 12-bit/10-bit/8-bit, high speed, low power, successive approximation analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), respectively. The parts operate from a single 2.35V to 3.6V power supply and feature throughput rates of up to 3 MSPS. The parts contain a low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies in excess of 55 MHz.

The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using CS and the serial clock, allowing the devices to interface with microprocessors...

Seven Leagues Slot Machine stop button issues
          by x_orange90_x
I don't know if anyone here has experience with Japanese slot (pachislo) machines, but I sure hope so. I bought this machine last week in semi-working order. It would play and the reels would spin, but the stop buttons would not stop them at all. I found that the high-frequency filtering tantalum capacitor was bad on the reel stop board, along with the fuse being blown. I replaced the fuse and removed the capacitor. I haven't replaced the cap yet because I didn't have one on hand, but it's not necessary for the operation of the machine.

The issue now is the Stop buttons are intermittently...

Revox A77 MKIV, No play speeds
          by budwich
I have had this 10 inch reel to reel since new. It lost its play speeds a while back and has been sitting patiently ever since. FF and FR both work. When play is selected, the tape guide mechanisms "arm" themselves to position but nothing happens after, no take up reel effort or drive reel movement. Likely candidate would be some form of classic "badcap" maybe, hoping. It was only ever lightly used and probably only fully functioned about 20 years ago.
Any hints / pointers on where to start looking, ie... board / area. Thanks. I have to track down my service manual...
