Asus P4C800-E Deluxe Power Supply Question

Greetings everyone:

I have a question, for those of you who have the ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe Motherboard, do you know if -5VDC rail on the Power Supply is a requirement when shopping for a power supply, this link says the -5VDC is.

If that report is correct, then yes, it does need a -5V rail, although it would be extremely stupid of ASUS to require a rail that was removed from ATX specifications by the time it came out. The only way to know for sure it to try it and see what happens.

My thoughts exactly, just wanted to see others who had this mobo if they used a PSU that had a -5VDC or not since it seems like some people used PSU's without a -5VDC on other forums.

I had tried a Corsair CX750m Power Supply which does not have a -5VDC rail and it appears to work fine for everything except the on-board Intel Pro1000/CT 1Gbps NIC is not working as it has two orange lights, I read someone said Wake-On LAN needs -5VDC to work properly so could this be the reason why it needs the -5VDC rail? At least ASUS shows the -5vdc in the manual:

Not sure if that is why the NIC is not working as it says device fails to start properly in Windows XP SP3.

Every time I've used this board was with a -5V rail PSU so I can't say if it works fine without one, but I'd be willing to ship you a recapped 350-400W PSU with -5V for $35
