Intel DQ965GF — Need latest BIOS for Core 2 Quad upgrade

    Hello everyone,

I’m currently working with an Intel DQ965GF motherboard and would like to upgrade the CPU.

However, I can’t find the latest BIOS version or a working download link for it — the official Intel website no longer provides this file.

Could someone please share a copy of the latest BIOS update (preferably the final release version)?

My goal is to upgrade the processor from a Core 2 Duo E6700 to a Core 2 Quad Q6700, so I’d like to make sure the BIOS fully supports it.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

I found this if it helps Intel DQ965GF (Guardfish) - The Retro Web Bios version 6100
Check manufacturers other than intel that used this board , they may still have the bios

Found this one CO96510J.86A.6100.BI.ZIP, you need to make a bootable DOS USB
6100.EB looks like it's a Windows flasher, you may need to run it in older OS (XP/Vista/7)
      Attached both
Edit: removed EB, possible virus, sorry I didn't check
      Attached Files

The last file (EB.zip) seems to have a virus Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml Severe

The link to the softpedia file seems to be ok and the file itself seems to be fine as well

              Hello everyone,

The BIOS version 6100 doesn’t seem to be compatible with this board, since it was designed for the DQ965CO model.

Could someone please share the correct BIOS version that matches DG965GF (the Guardfish board) or provide a safe source link for it?

I would really appreciate any help or official files if someone still has them archived.

Ideally, I’d like to download the latest BIOS version officially supported by the DQ965GF motherboard.

Thank you very much in advance!

before you do this, make sure the motherboard VRM can supply enough power for a quad.
