    MSI MegaPC motherboard replacement

    Good Day all,

I appologize for posting in the wrong place if I am.
Admins, feel free to delete or move.

    Anyways,
    I have a MSI MegaPC.
The Motherboard (MS-6760 Version 1) no longer works and I'm looking into sending my board in for repair.

I like the radio function in it so much, and I am wondering if the motherboard has a replacement. Basically, I can build a new computer with a tower case and remove one of the DVD slots and put the Radio faceplate there and run the cables for a good look.

The mother board has to have the same functionality and accept the same CPU and memory. (Not really wanting to buy another chip and memory)

Thanks in advance for anyone who has found one that works since I've scanned everywhere and found nothing. BTW.. I'm doing this because I messed up the case I took the board out of..LOL so I really don't want to have to use it or spend an eternity finding another one and MSI does not carry anything for this computer.

    Cheers,
    Che

Asus VivoBook F510UA-AH51 won't run on battery after motherboard replacement
    by dhenion
I'm working on my sister's laptop: Asus VivoBook F510UA-AH51 - The motherboard died so I replaced it.

    The original board was:
    ASUS X510UNR REV 3.0 A

    The replacement board is:
    ASUS X510UNR REV 3.0 B (identical except B vs A - I couldn't find an A board anywhere. Visually they are identical.)

It boots right up on the replaced motherboard and everything works fine on the new motherboard - but it won't run off battery. When I disconnect the charger it immediately dies. When I plug it back in and reboot the system - it still shows the battery at...

    clock radio / radio lifespan?
    by shelby5041
    hi
ive got a modern digital clock radio approx 15yrs old

my question is how long can a clock radio or a simple radio last ss farcas operating hours?

since elec components have limited hour lifecspan i would imagine the radio or clock radio would eventually fail.

the reason i ask is because i have my clock radio on radio function 24/7 for the past 7 years and its still working fine....i leave the radio on ..never turn off past 7years...thats approx 60000 hours

it uses very little power just a few watts i would imagine that may have something...

Lenovo T490 - motherboard serial - windows licence lost - after corrupt bios chip replacement
    by baletak
    Hi,
had T490 with faulty bios chip. Bought chip out of ebay and soldered on. Laptop starts and works however serial numbers of laptop and motherboard do not match.
I have updated laptop model number.

    1) I did not find the way to update laptop serial number - I have this one.
    2) I dont know where to get my motherboard serial number and how to update it. Is it somewhere physically on the mainboard? How do I update it?

Hope to find someone to help me with this as I am hitting dead end at the moment.

    Many thanks

Guide to transplant MEC1503 EC chip and EEPROM reprogamming for T14s gen 2 and X13 gen 2
    by acedogblast
This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...

Asus ROG Strix Scar G533qm with a G733qm Motherboard, can I modify the Bios to accept G533 Bios
    by glovecaps
    Hello,

I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.

My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.

The reason for wanting to do this is that the keyboard isn't working as it should, and I think this...
