    Apple Mac G5 1.8, 20" dual, 600w PSU

My first request here and new at this.
My wife uses an an old iMac G5 which she says she cannot do without! A few days ago it had a power supply failure indicated by an audible POP! On opening the PSU I found that the switch TOP249YN had split in 2 parts with the front section spalling off from the top to about 2/3 of the way down. Could you tell me what would cause this to happen please. I have replaced the part but the board does not power up so there must be something else which has failed to cause this switch to come apart. The board fuse is intact.
I hope you are able to help,
    Thanks and regards to all.

Further to the above this better identifies the problem switch :-

Apple Watch Charging Controller Schematics / Boardview - 820-02601
      by a_p3rson
      Hi there,

I'm looking for anyone who might have information on Apple's embedded Apple Watch charging daughterboard, ID 820-02601. This is currently used by Anker in their Apple Watch charging products, but likely by other Apple partner brands as well.

You can see the board referenced in ChargerLab's teardown of the Anker Y1811 3-in-1 MagSafe cube - they discuss the "Apple Watch wireless charging circuit" about 2/3rds down the page. It's not pictured, but the board ID reads 820-02601-A, which sure sounds like Apple.
      This daughterboard uses an interesting...

      Micro Momentary Push Switch?
      by Natob82
Great to be here! I'm a newbie here trying to find a "micro", momentary push switch to repair a Sony "clamshell" video walkman. This micro switch has long since discontinued by Sony, however I hope there are third-party switches of the same size and functionality that I might be able to source to play the same role. The purpose of this switch is to tell the video walkman that the user has activated the mechanical tape eject button, turning that physical action into an electronic signal that tells the tape transport mechanism to open so one can load or eject a video tape. I...

NEC TurboExpress On/Off Power Switch Replacement Help
      by grimacelord
      Hello,

I've been working on a NEC TurboExpress and I accidentally got the plastic inside the power ON/OFF switch too hot while doing other repairs and melted it. At first, it would still power on when sliding the switch, but you had to really press inward while sliding to get it to work.

I removed the switch component and tried to gently melt the plastic back so it would work more reliably and all I managed to do was make it worse.

I need to find a replacement On/OFF switch for this, but having some trouble figuring out which kind of switch I need....
