    Asus P5KPL-CM Bad Caps

I've had this motherboard in constant use since about 2009 or so when I got it. It's never been recapped. Can anyone identify what those caps are associated with? I apologize for the bad picture. My Nikon Coolpix camera isn't all that great for focusing. They're next to the 20 pin power connector.

    Thanks!

Maybe they are for the memory VRM.

If they are for the power connection from your power supply, then I'd check the power supply. What brand is the power supply?

What are the markings on those capacitors?

Edit: try not to use flash, but use a good light source like from outside. If the camera and/or light source aren't positioned properly, you will get glare and a crappy picture. Does your camera have a macro setting too?

Those are probably Toshin Kyogo ATWY series 6.3V 820uF 8x11.5mm. There should be about 20 or so scattered throughout the board, replace them all with Nichicon HM class or better.
