Abit VP6 Jackcon cap explode suddenly

I 've just found a Abit VP6 next to a dumpster. The physical appearance of all JAckon caps are good, not bulge, no leak.

However, when i turn it on, one of the cap (green circle) that under the AGP slot and mosfet exploded suddenly.

Question: Will recap save the board?
Will a suddenly blow-up damage the board?

The caps go often bad suddenly. Once I turned on Abit KT7 with caps looking good - and one of the caps (Jackcon) got very hot and bulged - so turned it off. After turning on again, another one did the same thing. So I replaced them all and it works.

Recap motherboards :: Abit KG7-LITE and Soltek SL-75FRN2-L
          by Foetuss
          Hi all

Hope this is in the correct place.

I'm planning on recapping both motherboards. I actually already ordered recplament caps for them, where I will be changing out most for poly's.
Could use some double checking to see if I'm not doing something stupid .

Pictures of the boards are attached.
What I will be replacing with what : (planned)

          Abit BE6-II motherboard
          by ziplock
          Greetings,

I have an Abit BE6-II motherboard that posts sporadically with the bare minimum components installed - CPU, RAM, PSU, and a Keyboard. I know it posts when the speaker beeps. Re-seating the components has no effect.

I thought the sporadic posting might be capacitor related. Upon inspection, non of the caps are bulged or leaking and they are all original. So, I pulled them ALL. While the ESR is OK, over half of them are leaking current between 1 and 2 mA. The biggest offenders are way out of spec, like a 1500uf / 6.3V measuring 2600uF and many of the 820uF caps...

          Abit ST6-Raid repair
          by tbalint3
          Hello All,

I am trying to repair an old Abit ST6-R motherboard.

          The symptoms are the following:
I got it in a non-working state. I was told that it sometimes turned on, but many times just the CPU fan was spinning and no other signs of life, the board didn't POST, and now it doesn't POST at all.

It was full of bulged electrolytic capacitors, so I replaced all of them with new Low-ESR ones, but it didn't solve the problem.
If I install a CPU in the S370 socket, only the fans are spinning and no POST. There are no beep codes even if the RAM DIMMs...
