    GeForce2 MX-400 AGP

Not sure of the brand of the card, but it's 64mb AGP. Has a single bulged G-Luxon 470uf 6.3v cap. Card still works normally, I just noticed the cap as I was tearing the machine down. The rest of the caps on the card are G-Luxon 47uf 10v, which are waaay too small to have bulged anything, they don't even have vents
    Ludicrous gibs!

      Electronic shrapnel.

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

i have similar card, it is powercolor gf2mx 400 64MB, it has a sanyo CA cap (vent) 1000uf 6.3V.

The rest of the caps on the card are G-Luxon 47uf 10v
        mine are 22uF
days are so short when you actually do something..

got this tv from a friend who got a new one and didnt want to bother repairing this one.
he said it sometimes would just flash color patterns.
and sometimes it would just work
i figured it had some intermittent mainboard issue.
i stored it at home for a while before looking at it
when i plugged it in for the first time, i heard some popping noises
and then a big cloud of white smoke came out of the back of the tv!
i noticed the smoke didnt actually smell like anything. not like when an IC blows.
i unplugged it and took the back off and discovered...

          Cap availability problems

I'm hard at work recapping some faulty ATX PSUs.

I'm rapidly depleting my stocks of PSU appropriate capacitors. I would like to use UCC KY series but can't find 2200uf in 10mm can diameter. Mostly I am replacing bulged TEAPO SE(Green) and TEAPO SEK (Brown) 2200uf 10v 10mmx20mm.

I have a few Rubycon ZL and Rubycon YXG in this size but these need reforming.

I had to use 3 UCC KMG caps, they seem to work fine, but not exactly sure. Some of the Data Sheets do not give detailed ripple current and ESR data for comparison.

          Any used caps that...

          Abit BE6-II motherboard
          by ziplock
          Greetings,

I have an Abit BE6-II motherboard that posts sporadically with the bare minimum components installed - CPU, RAM, PSU, and a Keyboard. I know it posts when the speaker beeps. Re-seating the components has no effect.

I thought the sporadic posting might be capacitor related. Upon inspection, non of the caps are bulged or leaking and they are all original. So, I pulled them ALL. While the ESR is OK, over half of them are leaking current between 1 and 2 mA. The biggest offenders are way out of spec, like a 1500uf / 6.3V measuring 2600uF and many of the 820uF caps...

          Hi all,
this unit comes from a samsumg LCD TV LE32C530F1W which stopped working after making a strong noise like something was exploded inside of it.
I opened it and found that fuse FP801S was blown, capacitor CP814 was completely disintegrated and MOSFET QP801S was shorted.
I replaced all of them and instead of the fuse I connected a 100 Watt bulb. Then, without connecting it to other TV boards, I switched it on, but the bulb begun to blink.
I thought that maybe the bulb was somehow interfering with the normal operation of the power supply, so I replaced it with a fuse,...
