    Gigabyte GA-7N400 pro apparently dead

Hi people, i ask you opinions about this board.
Two years ago, it begins to run only cpu fan. I changed it , and only for curiosity, i tried to turn it on, but no life signal, cpu fan too. Apparently no caps is "poofed" . This is the caps list of this board:

    22 x 1000uF 6.3v Nichicon HM(M)
    3 x 3300uF 6.3v Rubycon MBZ
    3 x 1000uF 16v 105° FJ
    8x 100uF 10v GSC
    3x 22uF 25v GSC
    1x 10uF 50v GSC
    1x 100uF 16v GSC

How can i test what's got wrong on this board? How can i test if mosfets or other are gone?

    Thanx in advance.

I dunno, because GSC caps usually bulge when failed.

Gigabyte GTX1080 - identifying a dead short on vmem
      by Prott
      Hey!
I have a problem with Gigabyte Aorus 1080. The card seems fine (expected resistance on vcore, pex, 5v, 1.8v, 12v and reset) except for a dead short on vmem (FBVDD). It's interesting failure mode, cause usually (in my experience) when memory fails it still retains a few ohms - this one is literally a dead short.

I removed the inductors and tried inject voltage (0.8 V at 6 A) which only seemed to warm up the cables to the card while the card itself didn't show any hotspots.

Is there any way to narrow down the search for a short? I would prefer not to remove...

Gigabyte GA-H61M-USB3-B3 dead short 3.3v rail to ground.
      by JimMc0
      Hi there,

I discovered this forum through a youtuber who teaches electronic repair. I've been trying to troubleshoot my dad's old PC which is a Gigabyte GA-H61M-USB3-B3 and will not power on. I discovered a dead short on the 3.3v rail at the ATX connector so I used a bench power supply to feed 3.3v into the ATX connector and sunk about 400mA into the board (I hope that's not too much!). I used a FLIR camera to identify the problem area:

The chip seems to be the following, an ITE IT8892E 1108-CXS which seems to be a PCI bridge?

GIGABYTE GA-H110M-S2 - Stuck at Debug Code C2 - don't like Patriot Viper Steel RAM but works with G.SKILL
      by DynaxSC
      Hi,

I discovered a strange behaviour of GIGABYTE GA-H110M-S2 board.

      General test conditions:
      - Tested with Core i5 6500 and Core I7 6700K - no difference
      - Default BIOS settings, but tried also altering several memory setting - does not change anything

      What is wrong:

With BIOS F1 and F2 the board normally POST's and boots to Windows 11 with 2 x Patriot Viper Steel PVS416G440C9K RAM (4400MHZ, Samsung B-Die chips)

When BIOS upgraded to anything above F2 (ie. F20-F27b) the board POST stucks after 3 Debug Codes on Code C2
