Had lots of bad caps on my ga-8ik1100 rev 1.0, which eventually killed the board.

I've had this laptop for about 3 years. Lenovo-Ideapad-700-15ISK-i5-6300HQ
a few months ago I've started experiencing this issue where I'd press the power button, everything would start up,
keyboard lit up, fans start spinning etc., but the screen remained black. I would then power off the machine by holding the power button for a couple seconds, and try again. It would boot up normally after the third or fourth attempt. . maybe a corrupt BIOS problem ?12-22-2024, 09:29 AM -
After attempting to upgrade the soldered 1216 Wifi module my motherboard no longer turns on. The board works before the upgrade attempt so that would certainly mean some components got knocked off accidentally but I can not find any missing components. I have thoroughly checked the whole board multiple times so lets do some tests from scratch.
Things that currently work:- USB-C PD for 20V
- Battery charging
- VCC5M and VCC5_PD
- VCC3M
- VCCPCHCORE (1.8V)

my neighbor gave me an old radio shack trs80 model3 computer...it was stored in his attic for 35yrs...i powered it on and after 5min lots of smoke was coming out of computer...i took it apart and didnt notice any fire evidence so i assume a cap split open...i looked around only saw 1 suspect part...see photo...could this be the smoke? -
2+ year old TV with many (720? 65" version has 720) mini LED dimming zones. TV boots, has sound, panel picture can be seen with flashlight. No backlight. No TV model sticker on rear panel (Maybe Samsung service removed it, read below). Found the model # through the PSU and zoned LED driver board numbers.
PSU has a click near LED output circuit at 1 second interval, sounded like the 4x barrier rectifier area. Protective pastic liner under PSU shows heat signature on the Schottky Barrier Rectifier in this circuit. Found a shorted diode (2 diode per rectifier, failed rectifier labled... -
ok i have this washing machine that a woodlouse killed my but the washing machine killed the louse for sure .but the viper chip is in question . dont see any shorts and can see the internal diode is intact . only thing i can find is r27 100 ohm resistor that acted as a fuse was burned open i mistankey replaced with 1k and was greeted to a nice smoke show and blackened board but was just soot . am thinking replace with 100 ohm and see what happens then if all fails sack the switching supply and wire in a proper supply as have lots of that shit in stock already . the board is the same as on this...
